The 369 method
Write it down
until it is true.
One line, in the present tense. Three times when you wake, six at midday, nine before you sleep - for thirty-three days. The ring fills as you go, it burns warmer the longer you keep it, and a day you miss stays missing.
Eighteen times a day
The schedule is the method.
So the reminders are predictable on purpose - three a day, at hours you choose. Each one is skipped if you have already written that session.
Before the day has a chance to make its own suggestions. Three lines, about a minute.
The middle of the day is where intention usually goes quiet. Six lines put it back.
The last thing your mind hears before sleep. Nine lines, and the day closes.
Try it here
This is the whole app.
Type the line. It has to match the intention you set - but roughly one typo in six characters still counts, because a calming ritual should never become a typing test on a phone keyboard.
Money comes to me easily and often.
Nothing here is saved. In the app, it is - on your device only.
Twenty-seven starting lines
Write your own - or borrow ours.
Present tense, first person, short enough that writing it eighteen times does not become something you resent by day nine. Pick an area.
The sky, computed
The moon is real, not decoration.
Every phase below is drawn from the actual synodic month - days since a known new moon, calculated on your device. No API call, no account, accurate to a few hours. The one that is lit is tonight's.

Before you decide
The questions people actually ask.
What happens if I miss a day?+
The day stays missed. A gap is drawn into the ring and it does not fill in later, on any plan - that is deliberate, and it is what makes a closed ring worth keeping.
You do not start over. Day twelve is still day twelve. Miss three days and you finish with thirty gold segments and three gaps, which is a real record of a real month rather than a badge anyone can buy.
Can I change my line partway through?+
No - and that is deliberate. The whole mechanic rests on writing the same sentence until your mind stops arguing with it, so a line is fixed for its thirty-three days.
If the intention itself has changed, begin a new cycle with the new line.
Do I have to type it perfectly, eighteen times?+
No. Roughly one typo in six characters still counts. A calming ritual should not turn into a typing test on a phone keyboard - but writing something else entirely does not count either, or the number would mean nothing.
Where is my writing stored? Can anyone see it?+
On your phone, and nowhere else. There is no account, no server and no AI reading what you write. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no version of this where your intentions are sold, leaked, or trained on.
The trade-off is honest: if you delete the app or lose the phone without exporting a backup, the record goes with it.
What happens when I finish thirty-three days?+
The ring closes, you get the crown, and you can share the finished cycle. Then you put it away and begin another if you want to.
Free users are never stuck at the finish. Starting a new cycle is always free - only reading back through the old ones is paid. A dead end at the moment of your biggest win would be both cruel and bad business.
Is the moon really calculated, or is it a picture?+
Calculated. The phase comes from days since a known new moon over the synodic month, worked out on your device, accurate to a few hours. No API call, no tracking, and it works with the phone in aeroplane mode.
Can I cancel? Will I be charged again?+
Cancel any time from your Apple ID settings - that is where the App Store keeps subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends and you are not charged again.
You keep the paid features until the period you already paid for runs out. Your writing is never taken away: it is on your phone, and it stays there.
What if I change phones?+
Restore Purchase in Settings brings your subscription back on any iPhone signed into the same Apple ID, at no extra charge.
Your cycles are a separate matter - they live on the device, so export a backup before you switch. Reading a backup back in is the next thing being built.

Ahead
The segments not yet filled.
Written here in the same light the ring uses for a day that has not arrived - because a roadmap is a promise, not a feature list.

Restore from a backup
NextSettings already writes your cycles to a file. The screen that reads one back in is the missing half.
The ring on your lock screen
BuildingA widget with the day number and the three sessions - filled, half, empty - so you know where you stand without opening anything.
A countdown to the next session
BuildingA Live Activity in the hour before midday and night. It disappears the moment you write, which is the only reward it needs to give.
Speak it instead
ExploringEighteen times a day is a lot of typing. Spoken aloud, matched on-device, never uploaded - the same tolerance as the keyboard.
Two people, one intention
ExploringA shared cycle for a couple or a pair of friends: two rings, one line, and each of you can see whether the other wrote today.
No backend, no accounts, no AI. Everything you write stays on the device - which is also why there is no version of this where your intentions get sold.
A finished session gets a brief bloom. Only a finished cycle gets the crown. Keeping the big one rare is what stops either from becoming noise.
The gap is drawn into the ring and it does not fill in later. That is exactly what makes a closed ring worth posting.
